Addressing Challenges Facing Collegiate Diving
To the Diving Community,
We understand the concerns many of you have expressed regarding the challenges facing collegiate diving in the current NCAA landscape. The uncertainty surrounding the future of diving programs is deeply concerning, and we want to assure you that we are taking this matter very seriously.
USA Diving is actively working in collaboration with the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC), World Aquatics, the NCAA, and the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) to identify and advocate for solutions. In the coming days, we will be attending the NCAA Championships to participate in key meetings focused on these issues. Our goal is to ensure the voices of our athletes, coaches, and diving community are represented and heard.
We recognize how important it is to keep you informed. The final hearing on these matters is scheduled for April 7th. Following this, we will host a virtual town hall to provide fact-based information about the outcomes and discuss the most effective ways for our community to get involved. This town hall will be held live for those able to attend, and a recording will be made available online for those unable to join us in real time.
We have heard your concerns and we welcome all the support you are willing to offer. Together, we can explore the most impactful methods to leverage our collective strength and effect positive change for the future of collegiate diving.
Please keep an eye out for an upcoming announcement with details on how to participate in the town hall. Your engagement and passion are vital as we navigate these challenges together.
Thank you for your dedication to the sport we all love.
Sincerely,
USA Diving
