2024 Canada Cup men's 3-meter medalists: Jack Ryan (USA, gold), Hu Yukang (China, silver), Juan Celaya (Mexico, bronze)
U.S. divers won six medals, including two gold, at the Canada Cup of Diving in Calgary from May 2-5. The U.S. also claimed three silver and one bronze.
Jack Ryan and Kristen Hayden both won individual 3-meter gold to lead the U.S. squad in Calgary. Carson Tyler won the individual men’s 10-meter silver medal, and the U.S. also medaled in three synchronized diving events.
Hayden won the individual women’s 3-meter gold, with silver going to China’s Si Yajie, who also paired with Long Yiping to take gold in synchronized 3-meter. USA’s Kyndal Knight and Samantha Pickens won silver in the synchro event, and Knight was 12th individually. Sophie Verzyl and Carolina Sculti also advanced to the individual 3-meter final and finished seventh and 11th, respectively.
Ryan won the individual men’s 3-meter gold, with China’s Hu Yukang taking silver and Mexico’s Juan Celaya finishing with bronze. Celaya also paired with Yahir Ocampo to give Mexico the gold in men’s 3-meter synchro, with USA’s Dylan Reed and Cameron Cash finishing fourth in that event. USA’s Luke Sitz also advanced to the individual 3-meter final and placed fifth.
Tyler won the individual men’s 10-meter silver after finishing second behind China’s Bai Yuming. Tyler Wills was fourth for the U.S., and Aidan Wang placed 10th. Wang also came away with a bronze medal after pairing with Luca Fassi in the synchronized 10-meter event, which was won by China’s Cheng Zilong and Zhu Zifneg.
Anna Lemkin and Taylor Fox won silver in women’s synchronized 10-meter. Lemkin led the U.S. women individually on 10-meter with a fourth-place finish. Sophie McAfee placed fifth, and Fox was eighth. China’s Jiang Linjing won the individual gold, and Australia’s Ellie Cole and Ruby Drogemuller took first in the synchro event.
